Optician — Elite Eyecare Nashville

Elite Eyecare is a busy, single-lane optometry practice in Nashville's The Nations neighborhood looking for an experienced optician to join the team. The practice is known for same-day glasses thanks to its in-house lens edging lab, a large designer frame selection including Prada, Emporio Armani and Ray-Ban (including Meta smart glasses), and a patient base that is heavily contact lens focused.

Responsibilities include assisting patients with frame selection and fitting and dispensing eyewear; taking accurate measurements such as PD and seg height and verifying prescriptions; operating and maintaining the in-house lens edging equipment; educating patients on lens options, coatings and contact lens supply plans; processing insurance and managing optical inventory; and providing high-touch patient service in a steady, relaxed-paced, high-capture-rate practice.

Elite Eyecare is looking for a licensed optician or someone with two or more years of optical or dispensing experience, strong customer service skills, and attention to detail. Experience with lens edging equipment is a plus but not required.

The position is full time with competitive pay of $18–$22 per hour depending on experience, in a modern practice with advanced technology including Optomap retinal imaging and in-office dry eye treatment, and a supportive team environment.
